Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Loan Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the Government of India. The scheme was launched on 17th September 2023 i.e. Vishwakarma Day. And the benefit of this scheme will be given for five years i.e. till 2027-28. And this scheme is being run by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

The objective of this scheme is to uplift the small traders and craftsmen of the country such as goldsmiths, blacksmiths, potters, tailors, sculptors, laundry etc. by providing them loans at low interest rates to increase their work. Under this scheme, applicants can get a business loan of up to Rs 3 lakh at 5% interest rate.
Not only this, the applicants are also given free skill training under this scheme. The applicant is also given Rs 500 per day during the training. Along with this, an amount of Rs 15 thousand is also given to the applicant to buy a tool kit. After completing the training, the applicant can apply for PM Vishwakarma Loan.

What is the amount of PM Vishwakarma Loan
Under the PM Vishwakarma Loan Scheme, a maximum of Rs 3 lakh is provided to the beneficiaries. And this loan is given for a total of 4 years. However, you do not get this loan amount together in two stages.
Basically, basic and advanced training is provided under this scheme. When you complete the basic training of 5 to 7 days, you are given a loan of 50 thousand to 1 lakh rupees in the first phase. You get this loan for 18 months.
Then, when you repay the loan in the first phase, maintain a standard loan account, adopt digital transactions in your business, and complete 15 days of advanced training, you get a loan of up to Rs 2 lakh in the second phase for 30 months.
Interest rate on PM Vishwakarma Loan
Under the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Loan Scheme, a maximum loan of up to Rs 3 lakh is available. The interest rate of this loan is 5% per annum. The interest subvention will be up to a limit of 8% and is paid in advance to the banks by MoMSME.
Who is Eligible for PM Vishwakarma Loan?
Before you apply for the PM Vishwakarma Loan, you should know about the eligibility required for the application. If you meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below, then only you can apply for the loan, not otherwise.
You must be at least 18 years of age.
You must be associated with one of the 18 businesses listed in the plan.

If you yourself or any government employee in your family, then you are ineligible for this scheme.
