Phase 1 (April 2015 – March 2017)

Phase 2 (April 2017 – March 2019)

After the completion of the first phase, the government included 200 more cities in the second phase. Now the work of giving houses to poor people has started in these 200 new cities.

Phase 3 (April 2019 – March 2022)

In the last phase of this scheme, the government included all the remaining cities in this scheme. And then the work of giving houses to poor people in all the cities of the whole country started, which was completed in March 2022.

If any state or UT needs more houses, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation is ready to meet their demand. That is, if a lot of people in a place have still not got houses, the government can provide additional resources to build more houses there.

The target that was set to provide houses for all in cities under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) or PM Home Loan, is almost going to be fulfilled. The target was to provide houses to all by 2022 and more than 88 lakh houses have been approved so far. Recently, 865 proposals from 10 states have been approved under which 2.99 lakh more houses will be constructed. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-U) – How to Apply for City

You can apply for PM Home Loan or Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) either online or offline. Let me tell you how to apply online.

If you are a new applicant then you can apply in the PMAY scheme in the following ways.

First of all, you have to go to the official website of PMAY.
On this website, you have to select the option “Benefit under other 3 components” in the menu of “Citizen Assessment.”

The process of applying for existing home loan applicants

If you have taken a loan for your house and have not taken the benefit of subsidy under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), then you can apply again. For this, you have to go to your bank and apply. The bank will check your application and then send it to a government bank, NHB.

NHB will check all your details and if you are eligible, the subsidy money will be credited to the home loan account. This money will be deducted from your home loan, that is, you will have to pay less money.

Note: Applications for the PMAY-U scheme for urban people have been closed. However, according to the new update, the Union Ministry has extended the implementation period of PMAY-U till December 31, 2024, with all sectors except Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS).

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-G) How to Apply for Rural

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) is a scheme under which the government gives money to poor people to build pucca houses. People who do not have their own house or whose house is very old or broken can take advantage of this scheme. The house must be at least 25 square meters. To take advantage of this scheme, every person must have an Aadhaar card.

If you are a rural resident and want to take advantage of this scheme, then for this you have to contact the employment secretary of your gram panchayat. Only the village secretary of your village will get the online application form for you. You do not need to provide any documents at the beginning. But after the name comes, you have to submit all your documents.

Eligibility for PMAY-G:

The following categories of people will get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana.

A homeless family can benefit.
If the family houses have zero, one or two rooms, and the walls and roof are raw.
A family in which there is no literate adult above 25 years of age.
A family in which there is no adult male member between 16 and 59 years of age.
A family in which there is no adult member between the ages of 16 and 59.
Families with no able-bodied members and disabled members will get the benefit.
A landless family that earns from casual labour.

Go to the official website https://pmayg.nic.in.
Here you have to click on the option of Awassoft in the menu bar.
Then click on the Report option in the drop-down.
